# How to Retrieve and Manage Archived Products

Archived products are removed from your storefront and your active product list, but they are not permanently deleted. You can restore an archived product at any time, adjust its visibility, and re-launch it to your supporters. Archived products do NOT count toward your active product listing limit — only Public and Hidden products count.

## Step 1: Access archived products

1. From your Fourthwall dashboard, go to [Products > All Products](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/products/all/).
2. Click the **Status** filter.
3. Select **Archived** to view all currently archived products.
4. Click **Done** to apply the filter.
All products with Archived status will now be visible in the filtered list.

## Step 2: Restore an archived product

1. Click the three-dot menu for the product you want to restore.
2. Choose **Unarchive**.
3. In the confirmation dialog, click **Unarchive** again to confirm.
The product is now removed from archived status and moves back into your active product list.

## Step 3: Adjust visibility after restoring

After unarchiving, the product defaults to a status that may not match your intent. You must manually set the correct visibility:

1. Go back to [All Products](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/products/all/).
2. Click on the restored product to open its settings.
3. Review and update the product status:
   - **Public** — customers can see and purchase the product in your store
   - **Hidden** — accessible only via a direct link, not shown in store listings
4. Click **Save**.
### Additional steps after unarchiving

- **Remove the sold-out flag**: Fourthwall automatically marks archived products as sold out when archived. To remove this, scroll to the Inventory section and uncheck **Mark as sold out**.
- **Update the product details**: While in the product settings page, you can update the description, pricing, design, or any other fields before re-launching.
- **Double-check product position**: Verify that the product appears in the correct position in your store listing. Use the drag-and-drop or position options to adjust placement.

## Troubleshooting & Common Issues

**Problem:** Archived product is NOT appearing in the filtered view.
**Solution:** Make sure you selected the **Archived** filter under Status and clicked **Done**. If the product still does not appear, it may have been permanently deleted rather than archived — archived and deleted products behave differently. Contact Fourthwall support if you believe a product was accidentally deleted.

**Problem:** Restored product appears as sold out on the storefront.
**Solution:** Fourthwall automatically marks products as sold out when they are archived. After unarchiving, go to the product's Inventory section and uncheck **Mark as sold out**, then save.

**Problem:** Restored product is not visible to customers even after setting to Public.
**Solution:** Confirm that you clicked **Save** after changing the status to Public. Also check that your store itself is set to visible and that the product is not part of a collection with restricted visibility.
