# Title and description generator

Fourthwall's built-in AI generator creates product titles and descriptions automatically using OpenAI GPT. The tool analyzes your product mockup image and the base product details (for example, "Bella Canvas 3001 t-shirt") to produce listing copy. You can use the generated text directly, edit it, or regenerate an entirely new version.

## How the generator works

After completing your product design, navigate to the product title, description, and pricing section of the product creation page. Below the product description field, click the **Generate title and description** button.
The system sends the following data to OpenAI:

- Your product mockup image
- The product details (product type, model name)

OpenAI GPT analyzes this data and returns a generated title and description for your product. The process typically takes a few seconds.

## Can I edit the generated title or description?

Yes. If the generated copy does not match your tone or brand voice, you can manually edit any part of it directly in the text fields. You can also click the generate button again to produce an entirely new version. The generated text is a starting point — you are encouraged to customize it to reflect your personality and better connect with your supporters.

## What makes a good product title or description?

Strong product copy reflects your personality and speaks directly to your audience. Specificity works better than generic descriptions — mention what makes the product distinct, what it is made of, or the feeling behind the design. Letting your voice come through makes the listing feel authentic rather than automated, which builds trust with supporters.

The AI generator provides a functional baseline, but adding your own personality or context — such as the story behind the design or a specific use case — typically improves conversion.

## What data is shared with OpenAI?

Fourthwall uses the OpenAI Enterprise API for this feature. The following data is shared:

- Product mockup images
- Product type details (for example, garment model name)

The following data is NOT shared with OpenAI:

- Your shop data
- Supporter information
- Sales or order data
- Any personally identifiable information

Fourthwall does NOT train OpenAI models using your product data. The mockup and product details are sent temporarily to generate the response and are NOT stored by OpenAI. ## Is my shop data secure?

Yes. No data is transmitted to OpenAI until you click **Generate title and description**. At that point, only the product mockup and product type information are shared temporarily for the generation request. Your shop data, supporter information, and account details remain private.

## Troubleshooting & Common Issues

**Problem:** The "Generate title and description" button is NOT appearing.
**Solution:** The button appears below the product description field after the design step is complete. If it is not visible, ensure you have progressed past the design editor to the product listing page. Refreshing the page may also resolve display issues.

**Problem:** Generated title or description does not match the product at all.
**Solution:** The generator uses the product mockup to infer context. If the mockup image is very low-contrast or the design is not clearly visible, the output may be generic. Try regenerating after ensuring the mockup renders correctly, or write the title and description manually.

**Problem:** Generated content appears in a different language.
**Solution:** The generator defaults to English but may occasionally produce output in another language depending on detected content. Manually edit the fields to your preferred language, or regenerate.
