# Why your order is on hold

An order is placed on hold when a submitted design needs a review or adjustment before production can continue. This happens because artwork needs tweaks for embroidery or print quality, or because a design does not meet manufacturing partners' content guidelines. Fourthwall's team will email you with the hold reason and the next steps to take.

## What happens next

When your order is placed on hold, Fourthwall contacts you by email with details on why the order is paused and what adjustments, if any, are needed. If your design was modified, the email includes a preview or approval sheet showing the updated version.

You can respond to the email to:

- **Approve the adjustment** to continue production
- **Request clarification** or provide suggestions for the modification
- **Cancel the design** if you'd prefer to make further edits before reordering

If your design violates content or manufacturing guidelines, Fourthwall will notify you and give you the option to rework it.

## After approval

Once you approve the suggested change, your order automatically continues production. If you plan to reuse the same design on other products, the updated artwork is applied going forward. You do not need to reapprove it each time.

## What to do if your order isn't moving

- Reply promptly to the approval email to confirm your decision.
- If you haven't received a hold notice but your order isn't progressing, check your spam folder first.
- Some partner-side or facility-level holds do not send an email notification and do not appear as a status message on the order detail page. If an order shows no progress for 5 or more business days and you haven't received a hold email or seen a hold flag on the order detail page, email [support@fourthwall.com](mailto:support@fourthwall.com) so the team can investigate.
- Fourthwall's team may provide preview or digitization files for your designs (for example, embroidery files) to help optimize them for production.
