Adding Videos to Your Site

Videos are a powerful way to engage your audience and highlight what makes your brand unique. 

On your Fourthwall site, you can feature videos across multiple sections, whether showcasing a product, telling your story, or promoting an event.

This article walks you through where videos can be added and how to upload one.

Where can you add videos to your site

Videos can be incorporated into various sections of your site, such as:

• Homepage – Add a featured video in the hero section to greet visitors. (link to homepage customization)
• Product collection pages – Showcase a product in use or highlight product features.
• Other Custom pages – Add campaign videos, event teasers, or special announcements to your custom pages.

How to add a video

We’ll use the homepage as an example, but the same steps apply to other sections.

1. In your Fourthwall dashboard, go to Site design.

2. Choose where you want to add a video section to your site (e.g., Home).

3. Click (+) Add page section and then click the Add button next to "Video."

There's a default uploaded video that you need to delete before you can see the option to upload a new one.

4. Select your preferred method for adding your video. Fourthwall allows direct uploads and video embeds, including YouTube or Vimeo URLs.

5. Use the available options to adjust video settings (auto-play, loop, and video controls), width, as well as perform advanced editing. The preview automatically adjusts based on your changes.

6. Click Save to apply your updates.
