Understanding Fourthwall's Site Design Options

One of the coolest features on Fourthwall is the ability to customize your site so that it feels entirely yours and fully represents your brand. This is done via our multiple themes available to you for free, and our site designer to customize them even more, all using no-code tools. Themes are templates you can use as a starting point for designing your site. You can further customize it by updating the various options within the settings. Let’s dig into the details behind our theme editor and what each section means. 

To customize your theme within your dashboard, go to Site designer

When you are in the site designer, you will see your editing options on the left-hand side, and on the right-hand side, you will see the real-time view of your site/page. Any changes you make here will be immediately reflected on your site. 

You have two main tabs: General and Layout. The general tab covers the main theme edits and site global settings, while the layout tab covers the section's layout of the page. 

In the general tab, you will find the following theme edit options:

Edit Option Title Use Case
Logo & identity Add your logo and favicon for your site
Colors & appearance Set up your site colors, buttons and fields edges, and general homepage layout for product images 
Typography Select from many different fonts to use on your site
Social links Link your favorite socials to your site
Pages & navigations Organize your main menu, add new elements or create drop-down menus, and also organize your footer
Theme Preview and select your base theme, duplicate and rename your existing themes, or even reset them to default settings 
Edit code (advanced) Section for more advanced users that allow implementation of custom header and footer code
 

In the Layout tab, you will find the following theme edit options:

First, you will see a dropdown menu with options for each page layout you want to edit. You can edit the layout for any of the following pages: 

  • Home page
  • Coming soon page
  • Checkout page
  • Predefined pages - Contact, Privacy Policy, Returns & FAQ, Terms of Service
  • Your new custom pages 

Note: Product, Collection, and Membership pages cannot be customized via the layout tab.
