Understanding Sample Credits

Sample credits usage, limitations, and how to check the balance

Sample credits allow you to order pre-production samples of your products for quality checks or promotional purposes without having to pay the full cost upfront. These credits are automatically added to your account based on your subscription plan or special promotions, and you can track them directly in your dashboard.

How sample credits work

  • Automatic allocation: If you’re on Fourthwall Pro, you receive $10 in sample credits every month. These credits are added automatically to your account.
  • Roll over: Unused credits don’t expire. They will accumulate month to month until you use them. If you downgrade from Fourthwall Pro, the sample credits stop accumulating, but the previously accumulated ones do not expire.
  • Special promotions: From time to time, sample credits may also be awarded as part of campaigns (e.g., meeting certain product or sales milestones). These are limited-time offers and may not always apply.

How to use sample credits

  • You can use sample credits to cover the cost of ordering pre-production samples or regular items from your shop.
  • If the sample costs more than your available credits, the balance can be paid with your credit card.
  • Orders can combine credits + card payment if needed.

How to check your balance

  1. From your dashboard, go to Settings > Samples.
  2. Your current samples credit balance will be displayed under "Your current samples credit."
  3. To place an order, click Create a new order. You can check How do I order samples? for more information.

Limitations to keep in mind

  • Sample credits can only be used for orders via the sample flow, not regular customer orders, but you can place a sample order and send it to anyone you would like.
  • Credits are non-transferable and can’t be cashed out.
  • Promotional sample credits (e.g., from campaigns) may have eligibility requirements and won’t always be ongoing.
