Understand why your order might pause before production and what to do next
Sometimes, an order may be placed on hold if your submitted design needs a quick review or adjustment before production.
This can happen for a few reasons — such as artwork that needs slight tweaks for embroidery or print quality, or designs that don’t meet our manufacturing partners’ content guidelines.
When this happens, our team will email you with details on the hold reason and next steps. You’ll usually be asked to review and approve a suggested change, or confirm whether you’d like to edit or cancel the design before we proceed.
What happens next
- We’ll reach out by email explaining why the order is on hold and what adjustments (if any) are needed.
- If your design was modified, we’ll attach a preview or approval sheet showing the updated version.
- You can approve the adjustment to continue production, request clarification, provide suggestions, or cancel if you’d rather make further edits before reordering.
Note: If your design violates content or manufacturing guidelines, we'll let you know about it and give you the option to rework your design.
After approval
Once you approve the suggested change, your order will automatically continue as usual. If you plan to reuse the same design for other products, our team ensures the updated artwork is applied moving forward — no need to reapprove it each time.
Additional information
- Please reply promptly to the approval email to confirm your decision.
- If you haven’t received a hold notice but your order isn’t moving, check your spam folder or reach out to support@fourthwall.com.
- Our team may provide preview or digitization files for your designs (e.g., embroidery) to help optimize them for production.
