My first product looks broken on my shop

Fix common display issues on a freshly published product with three quick steps before launch day
Don't worry, a freshly published product that looks broken is one of the most common things new creators hit, and it's usually fixable in a few minutes. The mockup may still be rendering, your browser may be showing a cached page, or the product status may not be set to public yet. Work through the three steps below in order.
Step 1: Regenerate the mockup
If the product image looks blank, distorted, or stuck on a default placeholder, the mockup needs to be rebuilt.
- Go to Products in your dashboard and open the product.
- Delete the default mockup image from the product gallery.
- Click Edit product design, then click Save.
Fourthwall generates a fresh mockup from your artwork as soon as you save. Give it a few seconds, then reload the product page to confirm the new image.
Step 2: Hard refresh your shop page
Your browser caches shop pages, so a recent change may not appear right away even after the dashboard updates. Force a fresh load:
- Windows or Linux: Press Ctrl + Shift + R.
- Mac: Press Cmd + Shift + R.
If the page still looks wrong, clear your browser's cache for fourthwall.com and reload. An incognito or private window also bypasses cached files.
Step 3: Confirm the product is set to PUBLIC
A product saved as Hidden won't appear on your shop, even if everything else is set up correctly.
- Go to Products and open the product.
- Check the status label at the top of the product page.
- If it shows Hidden, change it to Public and save.
Public products are visible to every supporter who visits your shop. Hidden products stay accessible only by direct link, useful for testing but not for launch.
Still broken?
If all three steps fail, email support@fourthwall.com with a link to the product and a screenshot. The team can check it on the back end and get you sorted before launch.
