Connect your Instagram Shop or Facebook Shop
1. Before you can set up, log in to Facebook's Commerce Manager and create a Facebook Business account, if you haven't already. Make sure you linked that Facebook Business account to your Instagram and Facebook page.
2. Within Facebook's Commerce Manager, click on "Add account" as shown in the image below
3. This will take you to the Get started screen. There, you want to click "Create shop"
4. A pop-up will appear asking which commerce platform you use. Select the "I don't use these platforms" option.
5. Next, it will take you to select which Sales channel you want to use. Here you should see your Commerce Account.
6. After selecting the sales channel, you need to select or create the catalog you want to link.
7. The next step will be to add the business details. Here, you can add your shop's customer support email address. This email will be visible to all your supporters. Once you have confirmed the email added here, if you used your shop's support email, our system will automatically forward the email with the code to your shop's super admin email. This usually takes 5-10 minutes. If you do not receive it, please contact our support team.
Leave the return window as is. Meta acts weird when it is changed.
All other items are optional, but if you wish, you can add your shop's Returns & FAQ page link to the return policy and your shop's privacy policy link to the privacy policy field.
8. Finally, agree to Meta's seller agreement terms and conditions and click submit for review.
9. After this, you will be redirected to the Overview page showing the various other steps needed to set up your shop with Meta.
10. For these next few steps, we'll pause working on Facebook's Commerce Manager and move to your Fourthwall dashboard.
Within your Fourthwall dashboard, navigate to Apps > Instagram and Facebook Shop and click where it says Connect.
11. A new tab will open, and you will be taken to Facebook Commerce Manager, where you can select which business portfolio you want to connect to your Fourthwall shop. Select the correct one and click "Continue" to proceed.
12. Select the Catalog you want to access Fourthwall to access and then click Continue to proceed.
13. On the next screen, it will show what you are granting access to. Click Save.
This will take you to a screen confirming that you have connected to Fourthwall. Click Got it to continue the process, and it will take you back to your Fourthwall dashboard.
14. Now, back in the Instagram & Facebook shop app page in your Fourthwall dashboard, you will see a drop-down option to select your Meta Product Catalog. Select the correct catalog and click Confirm selection to proceed.
15. Next, you will need to configure your Meta checkout URL. Click on Configure Meta checkout URL, and a pop-up will appear with the steps you need to complete directly in Facebook's Commerce Manager.
Copy the checkout URL you see there and then click Set up your checkout URL. This will open a new tab back to Facebook Commerce Manager for the next few steps.
16. Within Facebook Commerce Manager, you will see the screen below. Click Start building URL.
Then scroll to the bottom and check the box where it says "I've built a checkout URL" and then click next.
17. Enter the checkout URL that you had copied in step 15 into the field provided in this step and click next.
18. In this step, you need to select two products from your catalog. Ensure these products are marked as "Live" and not "Sold Out" in your shop.
Click Preview checkout, confirm that a checkout with the proper test items was created, and then check the box next to "These products and the offer appear correctly in my cart". Click Submit to proceed.
19. After completing these steps, you will see a confirmation that all steps to set up your checkout URL have been completed.
20. This will take you back to the Overview page, showing the various other steps needed to set up your shop with Meta.
21. Next, let's set up a shipping profile. Locate the section on the overview page and click "Set up". In the first few fields, enter the name "Default shipping profile", select "USA" as the country, and select all 51 options under the "Locations" dropdown field.
22. The next couple of fields are about setting up shipping speed. Under the standard shipping, enter 3-5 for the estimated delivery days. Leave the other shipping options turned off (they will still be visible during the checkout for your supporters, if the option is available for those items/shipping address)
23. By default, all your products will be included under this shipping profile. Leave as such and click "Save" to proceed back to the Overview page, showing the various other steps needed to set up your shop with Meta.
24. As the next step, we will now work on the Optimize your catalog section. Identify this section and click "View details"
25. A window will open showing the Optimize your catalog options. Here you want to click "Skip" under the add product variants section and then "Close" to proceed back to the Overview page.
26. As the final section, click on "View details" under Optimize your shop.
27. A window will open showing the Optimize your shop options. Here you can click if you want to display ratings/reviews on your shop, and if you want to display offers from your site in your shop. Click to turn on the display offers option, and then click "Confirm" to return to the Overview page.
28. Now, back in the overview page, you should see the "Publish shop" button light up blue. Click there to complete the setup.
Consider setting up Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel), if you have not already, to track how supporters interact with these products and/or launch a retargeting campaign

FAQs and troubleshooting for Instagram and Facebook shopping:
My products are not showing up on Meta shop
- Check that you created a shop in Facebook's Commerce Manager and not just a catalog. Facebook lets you create a catalog without a shop if all you are looking to do is ads. However, for a proper Facebook shop setup, you need to have a shop with a catalog in your Facebook Commerce Manager. If this was the case, you need to disconnect your Fourthwall shop and start from step 1.
I do not see a Shop tab in my Instagram profile
- A few reasons why this is the case:
- Is your country supported by Facebook? Make sure Facebook and Instagram shopping support your country. You can see the details here.
- You are accessing your Instagram profile from a country not supported by Facebook shopping.
- Make sure you have properly linked your Instagram account to your Commerce Manager shop account.
