Getting started
Enabling Memberships on your Fourthwall Account
Once you have access, head to the Memberships tab in your dashboard. The âOverviewâ section of this tab is your home base for all things Memberships. Here you will find your onboarding checklist, which guides you through the most important steps to get started. You can manage your Memberships and access other important sections using the left-hand navigation menu.
Creating tiers
Tiers are different levels your supporters can join to access exclusive perks. You can set up as many tiers as you like, but be sure to consider what your supporters will find valuable and what is sustainable for you to offer.
Youâll need to create at least one tier to launch your memberships. To create, edit, and delete tiers, head to Memberships â Perks & tiers.
Looking for a members-only offering that doesnât require extra work from you? Try a single-tier, âmerch clubâ style membership that includes all passive benefits like members-only discounts, products, and Discord access.
Excited to offer members exclusive content and more robust perks? A three-tier approach allows you to offer a full range of options for supporters at every level. For inspiration on choosing the right tier strategy for you, check out these case studies from top Fourthwall Creators.
Creating perks
Perks are the unique benefits you offer within each tier. Perks can be passive (like members-only products and discounts, meaning they donât require extra work from you), active (like access to exclusive content or events), or somewhere in between (like polls or AMAs to build community and drive engagement). The right perks strategy depends on you, your goals, your bandwidth, and what you think will resonate most with your supporters.
There are five types of perks available to you with Fourthwall Memberships:
-
Custom perk
- Maximum flexibility to customize your membership offering based on your brand, community, and goals.
-

To add a new perk, click the âAdd perkâ button underneath a particular tier and a pop-up window will appear. Learn more about the different types of perks and how to set them up in Perks đ A guide to rewarding your members.
Add Memberships on your homepage
If youâre still reading, youâve made it to the last step â that means youâre so close to finalizing your very own membership offering.
Once youâve created at least one tier and added perks, supporters will be able to view your offerings and subscribe from yourshopname.com/supporters/pricing. However, itâs important to build awareness and excitement among supporters by featuring your memberships on your homepage. You will be prompted to do this through the onboarding recommendations in your Memberships dashboard:
Click âAdd Memberships to your homepageâ to open up a quick-start modal which will allow you to add Memberships to your top-navigation menu and as a section on your homepage in one click.
Once youâve completed this process, you can edit how Memberships appear on your homepage anytime. To do this, follow these steps:
For editing Memberships in your top-navigation menu
Head to Design & Layout, select âPages & Navigation,â and select âAdd or edit pages.â From here, you can drag & drop the âMembers Onlyâ button to your preferred position in the main menu.
The âMembers Onlyâ menu comes with three additional submenu items:
- Feed (directs to the main feed with all posts and content)
- Videos (directs to the video catalog page)
- Perks (directs to your perks page)
You can choose to customize this sub-menu by changing the title or link for each item. You can also choose to delete sub-items altogether.
For editing the Memberships section on your homepage
From your dashboard, head to Design & layout and click on the âTiersâ section. Customize this section based on your preferences
Now that youâve completed the setup process, itâs time to introduce your memberships to the world! Learn how to prepare for a successful launch with posts, promotions, and more here.
