What are Twitch sub discounts?
When you integrate Twitch with your Fourthwall site, you can create promotional discounts that are exclusive to your Twitch subscribers. There is no need to manually verify the sub or send unique codes; when the supporter is checking out, they will be prompted to log in with their Twitch login, and it automatically verifies if they are an active subscriber. If they are, the discount will auto-apply! Rewarding your community doesn't need to be hard!
How to set up Twitch sub discounts?
Connect your Twitch Account
The first step to set up Twitch sub discounts is to connect Twitch to your Fourthwall site. To do this, navigate to the App section of your Fourthwall dashboard and look for the "Discount for Twitch subs" app.
Once you click on the Discount for Twitch Subs app, you will be prompted to connect your Twitch account. After clicking "Connect," you will go through the Twitch login process to connect your account.
Creating the Twitch sub discount promotion
After connecting your Twitch, you will see the Discount for Twitch sub screen, which will look like the image below. To start creating your Twitch sub discount promotion, click on "Create a new auto-applied promotion" found in point 1 under Shop discounts.
This will take you to the Create shop promotion screen, as shown in the image below. Here you will be able to customize the discount you want to offer to your Twitch subscribers. You can select the following details:
- Discount type:
- Percentage off
- Flat amount discount
- Free shipping discount
- If the discount should apply to entire order or only selected products
- Which Twitch subs tier should this discount apply to, if only some tiers or all tiers
- Finally, if the promotion should only apply to orders in selected countries (for example if you only want to do free shipping but to the USA)
Note: The promotion type should be kept as an Auto-applied promotion. If you change the promotion type to a promo code, it will not work correctly.
Once you have completed the promo details, click save and you are done! Now this promotion is active.
What does it look like for supporters?
Once you have completed the Twitch sub discount setup, when your supporters go to your shop and checkout, they will see a message that will ask if they are subscribed to your Twitch channel and mention the promotion available. Please take a look at the image below for an example of what this looks like. This will reward existing members and prompt new supporters to subscribe to your Twitch to take advantage of the discount!
