Tell apart the three identifiers a creator or supporter may see on a single Fourthwall order
A Fourthwall order can carry three different identifiers, and they each do a different job. Knowing which one to share, and where to find it, helps you and your supporters get a faster answer from our team.

Order ID, the 8-character code
The Order ID is an 8-character alphanumeric code such as 4W5J3CGA. It's the identifier you'll see at the top of every order in the Orders page in your dashboard, and the one your supporters see on their order-status page after checkout.
This is the code Fourthwall support uses to look up an order. Share this one whenever you contact us about a specific order.
Carrier tracking number
The tracking number is a separate identifier issued by the shipping carrier, for example DPD 05757999377671. It only tracks the physical shipment with the carrier and isn't tied to looking up an order in Fourthwall.
Use the tracking number when you, or your supporter, want to check the package's location with the carrier directly. For order changes, refunds, or support questions, use the 8-character Order ID instead.

Which ID should I send to support?
Send the 8-character Order ID from your dashboard. It's the fastest way for our team to find the order.
My supporter copied the long ID from the packing slip. Can you still find their order?
Yes. We can match the Fulfillment ID (the long ful_ string labeled "Order ID" on the slip) back to an order, but lookup is faster if you also include the 8-character Order ID from the dashboard.
Why is the Fulfillment ID labeled "Order ID" on the packing slip?
The label is intended for the production partner who fulfills the order, not for support lookups. The Fulfillment ID is what the partner uses on their side, which is why it's the most prominent code on the slip.
Is the tracking number the same as the Order ID?
No. The tracking number is issued by the carrier (DPD, USPS, DHL, and so on) and only tracks the shipment. It can't be used to look up the order in your Fourthwall dashboard.
