This article will walk you through how to showcase products from your Fourthwall shop on YouTube
YouTube Shopping allows you to showcase your Fourthwall products and merchandise directly under your videos on YouTube. You can use this to:
- Organize and display your products on the YouTube Merch Shelf (Product Shelf)
- Feature your products on end screens
- Use description links to your Fourthwall shop
As an eligible YouTube creator, we recommend that you enable this feature as part of your promotion strategy to promote higher sales!

Linking your YouTube Channel to your Fourthwall shop
Note: It can take 48-78 hours for Google's team to review your product listings for YouTube, so please be sure to give yourself sufficient time to begin.
First, let's link your YouTube channel to your Fourthwall shop. Do note that you can add up to 3 YouTube channels. Follow the steps below:
1. Within your Fourthwall dashboard, go to your Shop Settings > Apps > YouTube Merch Shelf and then click Configure.
2. Within the YouTube Merch Shelf App configuration screen, click Connect and then select the correct Google account linked to your YouTube channel.
3. Once you have selected your Google account, it will ask you to allow Fourthwall to view your YouTube account. Click Allow to continue.
Note: This is needed to link your YouTube Channel properly. We do not have access to any of your YouTube data outside of being able to link your channel to your shop.
4. This will take you back to the YouTube Merch Shelf App configuration screen. There you will see if your YouTube channel is linked or not to your Fourthwall shop. However, your Merch Shelf is not yet connected and will show a pending status. Google takes 24 hours to review products before it is connected to your Merch Shelf.
You can check if your products have been approved by going to the YouTube Merch Shelf App configuration screen in your dashboard and checking the product's connection status section. There, you will see which products have been approved, pending review, or rejected. Hidden products are not available for YouTube to review; product listings need to be marked as available for YouTube to review.
Once at least one product has been approved, you can continue to the next step. If any products are rejected, you can see the reason by clicking see details in the rejected section.
Note: every time you update a product, it will go back to the pending review status, as Google will re-review that product. That is the case for any product listing or design updates.
Adding your shop to your YouTube Studio
After linking your YouTube channel and Google’s review of your products, the configuration screen will show that your Merch Shelf is connected. Once that happens, you need to add your shop in YouTube Studio. Follow the steps below:
1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
2. In the left Menu, click Monetization.
3. Select the Shopping tab. You'll only see this option if your channel is eligible.
If you see an existing "Products" section here from another platform, you will need to remove that store before you can connect your Fourthwall shop.
4. Chose the Connect Store option, select Fourthwall, and then click to Continue:
5. Once connected, you will see a list of products on your Fourthwall store.
6. After you select these products, they usually appear in an "In Review" state, which means that Google has yet to review them for approval on YouTube. This process can take up to 24 hours. We suggest you choose to “Select Manually” all the products you wish to feature, as this process has a faster turnaround.
Please note that Google may deny your products if they don't comply with their Official Product Policies.

Note: If you sync a custom domain to your Fourthwall site, please note that it will still link to your internal Fourthwall domain due to Youtube limitations.
Linking additional YouTube Channels to your Fourthwall shop
You can add up to three YouTube channels to your Fourthwall shop. To add additional channels, please follow these steps:
1. Go to the YouTube Merch Shelf App configuration screen within your shop settings and click Connect another channel under your existing YouTube channel connection.
2. Select the correct Google account linked to the additional YouTube channel that you want to add.
However, your Merch Shelf is not yet connected and will show the status as pending. Google takes 24 hours to review products before it is connected to your Merch Shelf. Once this has been completed, follow the steps in the “Adding your shop to your YouTube Studio” section above
