Give your supporters instant value by attaching a digital file to any physical product
Adding a digital file lets supporters access part of the item immediately, such as a video, lyric sheet, or digital copy of a book, while the physical product is on its way.
Before you start, make sure you’re familiar with creating digital products. Once you’ve got the basics down, here’s how to bundle them with your physical items.
Offer a physical + digital bundle
You can pair any physical item with an extra digital goodie. Think:
- hoodie + behind the scenes video,
- hat + lyric sheet, or
- t-shirt + digital art file.
Note: There's no extra fee when the digital file is attached to a physical listing. Digital fees only apply to standalone digital products.
How to add a digital file to an existing physical product
1. In your Fourthwall dashboard, open the Products tab and select the physical product you want to bundle.
2. Select the three dots in the upper right corner and choose Advanced settings.
3. Under Digital download, enable the Add digital download to this product option and upload your digital file.
Once saved, supporters will automatically receive the file via email as soon as they complete their purchase.
Note: If the product has past orders under the same listing, previous buyers will also receive the digital file. If you want it to apply only to new customers, create a new product listing and attach the digital file there.
(Optional) Additional steps
- Update the product name to reflect the bundle, such as Hoodie plus special video.
- Refresh the product description so supporters know what digital file they’ll receive and when they’ll receive it.
Guarantee a digital shoutout on certain orders
Want to offer a guaranteed shoutout video for specific products? Edit the product name to indicate that it includes a shoutout and adjust the price if needed. When orders come in, simply filter for that product inside Fourthwall and use the personalized thank you video feature to record and deliver the shoutout.
