Offer discounts, free shipping, or other perks to boost fan engagement and sales
Promo codes, a.k.a. discount codes, let you run flexible campaigns, from launch discounts to fan appreciation gifts. You can apply them to specific products, set usage limits, and control when they’re active.

Steps to create a promo code
- Go to your Fourthwall dashboard.
- In the sidebar, click Promotions.
- Click Create promotion > choose Shop promo.
- Enter a promo code (e.g., FANLOVE, LAUNCH15).
- Under Requirements, set when the promo should apply:
- Optional: Set a minimum quantity
- Example: The cart must include specific products
- Set the discount:
- Choose a percentage or dollar amount
- Apply to the entire order or selected items only
- (Optional) Enable “Limit this code to one use per customer” or "Limit the total number of times this code can be used."
- Click Save to activate the promo.
Tips & best practices
- Make your promo codes short and easy to remember.
- Create urgency by adding an end date.
- Promo codes can’t be stacked.
- You can deactivate a promo code anytime, but not edit it once created.

Troubleshooting Promo Codes
If a code doesn’t work:
- Check if it has expired or hit its usage limit
- Confirm it matches your cart conditions
- Make sure there are no typos
- Confirm your shop balance can cover the discount amount (if discount is more than your profit) or that you have a payment method on file.
