How to Enable WebGL in Your Browser

WebGL is required for the Product Designer to function properly. If you see a warning that WebGL is disabled or blocked in your browser, follow the steps below to enable it for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari browsers.

Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome and type chrome://settings in the address bar.
  2. Scroll down and click Advanced.
  3. Under System, ensure "Use hardware acceleration when available" is turned on.
  4. Restart Chrome.
  5. To verify, type chrome://gpu in the address bar and check if WebGL is enabled.
  6. If after following those steps, WebGL is still blocked:
    1. Type chrome://flags/#disable-webgl in the address bar.
    2. Ensure WebGL is Enabled.
    3. Restart Chrome.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Firefox and type about:config in the address bar.
  2. Click Accept the Risk and Continue.
  3. Search for webgl.disabled.
  4. If it is set to true, double-click it to change it to false.
  5. Restart Firefox.
  6. To check WebGL status, go to WebGL Report.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Edge and type edge://settings/system in the address bar.
  2. Ensure "Use hardware acceleration when available" is turned on.
  3. Restart Edge.
  4. To verify, type edge://gpu in the address bar and check WebGL status.

Safari (Mac only)

  1. Open Safari and go to Safari > Settings (or Preferences).
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. Check the Show Develop menu in the menu bar.
  4. In the top menu bar, click Develop > Experimental Features.
  5. Ensure WebGL 2.0 is enabled.

If you’ve followed these steps and WebGL is still not working, try updating your browser or checking if an extension or firewall is blocking WebGL. You can also test WebGL functionality at WebGL Report.
