Why are my products not eligible for TikTok Shop?
Not all products can be synced to TikTok Shop due to requirements on their end. The most common reasons that are product cannot be synced are:
- Over 3 Day Shipping Timelines. All TikTok products must be produced and shipped in 3 days or less. Since not all items can be manufactured in such a short time frame, we automatically disable ones that do not qualify.
- Non-US Shipping Locations. Products must ship from the US to be allowed to sell through TikTok. Items that ship from outside the US are not allowed.
- Hidden Product Status. Only items marked as "Public" will sync. If a product is hidden on Fourthwall, it will be hidden on TikTok.
- Incomplete Product Details. TikTok will not allow products to sync without images, a descriptive name, or full details.
TikTok may mark items as not eligible at any time for multiple reasons. You can explore the specific reason that a given product is not eligible by clicking on "See details."

As mentioned in our TikTok setup help article, we recommend you go with the free shipping template model and use our tool to automatically increase product prices on TikTok to cover shipping costs. Offering free shipping on TikTok Shop is a strategic approach that can significantly enhance your TikTok products’ performance and discoverability. Here’s why incorporating free shipping is highly recommended:
- Enhanced Product Visibility - TikTok Shop prioritizes listings with free shipping, often tagging them with a “Free Shipping” label. This designation makes your products more appealing and can lead to higher rankings in search results, increasing the likelihood of discovery by potential buyers.
- Increased Sales Opportunities - Studies indicate that a significant percentage of online shoppers are more inclined to complete a purchase if free shipping is offered. By including shipping costs in your product prices and presenting them as “free shipping,” you can reduce cart abandonment rates and boost overall sales. 
- Access to TikTok’s Co-Funded Free Shipping Program - TikTok Shop offers a Co-Funded Free Shipping program where sellers can share shipping costs with TikTok. This initiative allows you to provide free shipping to customers while reducing your shipping expenses. Eligibility typically requires a Shop Performance Score of 2.5 or higher. 
By adopting a free shipping model, you not only enhance your store’s visibility and attractiveness but also align with TikTok consumer preferences, ultimately driving growth and success on TikTok Shop.
How to disable your TikTok Shop connection
If you choose, you can disable your TikTok shop connection at any time after it's connected by deselecting the "Enable TikTok Shop sales" option. This will mark all products as "Sold Out" on TikTok shop to prevent future sales.
Please note that you cannot disconnect the TikTok Shop app from Fourthwall until all orders have shipped to abide by TikTok's policies. If you wish to remove the connection entirely, you'll need to disable the connection and wait for orders to ship. Once done, you may fully disconnect the app.
TikTok Shop Errors
TikTok Seller Account Inactive
- When you see this error, it means your TikTok Shop account has been deactivated, marked inactive, or any other TikTok internal issue. Go to your TikTok Shop dashboard and check the Account Health tab
TikTok Shop Inactive
- This means you have not signed up or set up TikTok Shop. In the TikTok Shop setup help article, go to Step 1. Sign up for TikTok Shop.
Return Warehouse Configuration Issue
- This means a return warehouse has not been properly set up. Make sure your shipping from warehouse is set as the return warehouse.
Shipping Template Configuration Issue
- This could be that you have not set up a shipping template as outlined in Step 3.7 or 3.8 of the TikTok Shop set up help article.
- Make sure the shipping template is called Fourthwall Shipping or Fourthwall. If the name is different, this will impact it.
Incorrect Shipping Option Selected
- This means you have not properly change from TikTok Shipping to Seller Shipping in TikTok Shop shipping settings. To correct this follow these steps:
1. In your TikTok Shop dashboard go to Orders > Fulfillment Settings > Shipping and Delivery
2. Click “Switch option” and choose “Seller shipping”
3. Go back to your Fourthwall TikTok shop page and refresh. Turn sales back on using the toggle.
