How you get paid
You created your shop, designed your products, and now it's time to see your hard work pay off, literally!
Payouts are automatically sent out monthly, with your monthly profits being sent out at the beginning of the following month for any balances higher than $25. Payouts are sent by the 3rd business day of each month, covering your earnings up to the end of the previous month.
Example: If today is June 11, 2026, your earnings from June 1 to June 30 will be paid out by July 3 (the 3rd business day of July).
To receive payouts, set up your payout details in your Fourthwall dashboard. We use Stripe, a trusted payment processor used by companies (like Lyft and Target.com), to securely send funds to your bank account via ACH, wire transfer, or debit card.
Go to Stripe's Cross border payouts site to see the list of supported countries.
How to check your payout status
You can view your full payout history, including the status of each payout, directly in your dashboard.
- Go to Settings > Billing and payouts in your dashboard.
- Scroll to the Payout history section.
Each payout entry shows:
- Status: Pending, Paid, or Failed
- Amount: The total payout for that period
- Date: When the payout was sent or is scheduled
If a payout shows Failed, check that your bank details are correct in Stripe Connect, then contact support@fourthwall.com to have it re-triggered.
How do I set up payout details?
Step 1: Log in to your Fourthwall dashboard and click Settings > Billing and payouts. > Set up your payouts.

This will open the Stripe integration page.
Step 2: Follow the initial on-screen prompts and provide the following information:
- Personal information
- Business-related details
Pay close attention to the country drop-down at the beginning of the process. Be sure to select the correct country in which you and your bank are located.
Step 3: Connect your Bank or Debit card. Either way, you'll need to select your bank that is available for direct connect.

When you choose to enter your bank details manually, please enter the following:
- Routing number
- Account number (must be a checking account)
Don't forget to click Save.

Once saved, click Continue.

Step 4: Review the details of the information entered and click Submit when you're ready.

Step 5: Confirm your email with Stripe, and you'll be ready to receive your payouts!

Fourthwall doesn't store any of your payment or personal information; all payout information is stored securely within Stripe.
What are the benefits of this payout process?

- Faster, more frequent payouts
- Better control, privacy, and security
- Lower fees (we added ACH and debit cards as payment methods)
- Easier 1099 reporting (only applicable to US-based creators)
How do I download a payout invoice?
You can download an invoice for any payout Fourthwall sends you. This is helpful for bookkeeping, tax filing, or meeting invoicing requirements in your country.
To download a payout invoice:
- Go to Settings > Billing and payouts in your dashboard.
- Find the payout you need an invoice for.
- Click Download invoice.


The invoice includes your payout amount, date, and payment method. If you need to add your legal entity name to the "Provided to" field on the invoice, a future update will let you fill that in directly.
Important:
- For any balances under $25, you will need to manually request it by emailing support@fourthwall.com. This is only for Stripe payouts; manual requests are not possible for cases where Stripe is not supported.
- Only one payout request is possible each month at this time.
- Depending on your bank and country, it may take 7-10 business days for your payout to properly reflect on your bank account.
- If your payout shows a Failed status, please make sure your bank details are correct on Stripe Connect and then reach out to support@fourthwall.com and we'll re-trigger it.
Frequently asked questions
What happens to my earnings if I haven't set up Stripe Connect?
Your earnings are held safely in your Fourthwall account balance. Fourthwall does not forfeit or expire unclaimed balances. Your funds remain available indefinitely until you complete the Stripe Connect setup and receive your payout. To set up payouts and claim your balance, follow the steps in the setup section above.
Do unclaimed payout balances expire or get forfeited?
No. Fourthwall holds your earnings for as long as your account is active, regardless of how long it takes you to set up Stripe Connect. There is no deadline or expiration on accumulated balances.
What happens to my balance if I close my account without setting up payouts?
You must set up your payout details before Fourthwall can close your account. The support team cannot process account deletion while you have an outstanding balance. Set up Stripe Connect, receive your final payout, and then request account closure. For the full account closure process, see Close or delete your account or shop.
What if I don't see the "Set up your payouts" button?
The Set up your payouts button appears in the "How you get paid" section on Settings > Billing and payouts. If the button is missing, it may be due to account permissions or restrictions on your account.
If you're a team member (not the account owner), you may not have permission to access payout settings. Ask the account owner to configure payouts or adjust your team role permissions so you can access billing settings.
