Update Shop Details and URL

Easily manage your storefront details and URL from your site settings

Personalize your storefront by updating your shop details, such as the name, description, social sharing image, and URL, in just a few steps. These settings can be found directly in your Site settings tab within the dashboard.

Update your shop details

Your shop details control how your brand is displayed across checkout pages, emails, search engines, and social media. Updating them helps ensure a consistent and professional look.

  1. From your Fourthwall dashboard, go to Settings > General.
  2. Under Site details, edit the Site title and Description fields. These get displayed in your homepage, browser tab, and in search results.

  3. Next, upload or update your Social sharing image. This is the image displayed when your site link is shared on platforms like Facebook, X (Twitter), or messaging apps.

    Upload social sharing image.png
  4. Click Save to apply all changes.

Tip: Choose a shop name and description that reflect your brand identity and a high-quality sharing image (recommended size: 1200 x 630 px) that encourages clicks when your site is shared.

Update your shop URL

Your shop URL determines how customers access your site. You can either use a custom domain, claim a new one (Pro plan only), or simply update the default Fourthwall domain for your site.

  1. From your dashboard, go to Settings > Domain.
  2. Choose from one of the following options:
    • Connect a custom domain: Click Connect domain to link your own domain (e.g., mybrand.com). You will need to adjust the DNS settings with your domain provider.
    • Claim a free domain: Search for available options (e.g., .store, .tech, .online) and claim your free domain.
    • Change your free Fourthwall domain: Edit the field under Fourthwall domain to update your subdomain (e.g., "my-site" -shop.fourthwall.com).
