Understand why your order may show as partially shipped and what to do next
The “Partially Shipped” status generally means that at least one item in the order has been shipped, while one or more items are still pending. This can happen for several reasons.
Why an order may show as “Partially Shipped”
Here are some scenarios based on real customer cases:
- Mixed or split shipments – Some items leave the warehouse faster than others. If your order contains multiple products, they may ship in separate packages as needed.
- Different fulfillment partners – If items in the same order are produced or shipped by different vendors, each vendor sends their portion independently. This often results in staggered shipping updates.
- Item-level timeline not showing – Sometimes, the order details page doesn't break down which specific items have shipped. In this case, you'll still see tracking info, but not item-by-item visibility.
- Order items shipping at different times due to holds – If an item was flagged for a printing or design issue and held temporarily, once resolved, the remaining items may ship later than the first items.
-
Misconfigured products – Products incorrectly configured may also lead to delays in shipping (e.g., digital products created as physical in self-fulfilled products)
- Result: The order can never reach "Shipped" or "Delivered" and will remain on "Partially Shipped" status. (For creators: the only long-term fix is to recreate those offers as digital products.)
What you can do
If the order details page does not show which items shipped and which are pending, or if the status doesn’t match what you expect, the best next step is to get in touch with Support so they can review the specific order.
Email us at support@fourthwall.com and include the order number. A specialist can check the shipment logs, investigate issues, or simply manually complete the order if everything has already been fulfilled.
Note: If your digital product orders are stuck on "Partially Shipped," check whether those listings were originally created as physical products. Adding digital downloads later won't fully fix the underlying product type. Those offers need to be recreated as a true digital listing to avoid this status going forward.
