BookFunnel is the go-to delivery platform for authors. Connect it to your Fourthwall shop and BookFunnel automatically sends every e-book or audiobook your supporters buy, so you can focus on writing while your fans get their files within minutes of checkout.

How the BookFunnel integration works​

The integration runs on a webhook. When a supporter buys an e-book or audiobook from your Fourthwall shop, Fourthwall fires an order event to BookFunnel. BookFunnel matches the order to the right title in your BookFunnel library and emails the supporter a download link for the file.

You don't need to upload your books to Fourthwall or manage delivery yourself. As long as the product in your shop is mapped to a book in BookFunnel, the handoff is automatic.

How to connect BookFunnel to Fourthwall​

Setup happens entirely on the BookFunnel side. BookFunnel walks you through generating credentials, mapping each Fourthwall product to a book in your BookFunnel library, and turning on the webhook.

Step 1: Go to Apps > BookFunnel in your Fourthwall dashboard.

Step 2: Click How to Connect. This opens the BookFunnel setup guide in a new tab.

Step 3: Follow the BookFunnel instructions to finish the connection.

How to check your connection status​

Go back to Apps > BookFunnel any time to see whether the integration is live:

  • Connect to BookFunnel appears when no connection is active. Follow the setup steps above to link your accounts.
  • Connected to BookFunnel appears once you have successfully registered the webhook to BookFunnel. New orders will be delivered automatically from this point forward.

What your supporters experience​

After a supporter checks out, BookFunnel sends them an email with a personalized download link. The link opens BookFunnel's reader, where they can:

  • Download the e-book in the format that fits their device (EPUB, MOBI, or PDF).
  • Stream or download the audiobook through the BookFunnel app.
  • Re-download their purchase at any time using the same link.

Supporters don't need a BookFunnel account to receive their files, and delivery usually arrives within a few minutes of the order being placed.

Frequently asked questions​

Do I need to upload my books to Fourthwall?​

No. Your e-book and audiobook files stay in BookFunnel. Fourthwall handles the sale and supporter information, then BookFunnel handles the file delivery.

Where do I set up the connection?​

Setup is done in BookFunnel, not Fourthwall. Use the BookFunnel setup guide for the full walkthrough. The Fourthwall Apps > BookFunnel page is for checking status and finding the setup link.

Will old orders be delivered after I connect?​

No. BookFunnel only delivers files for orders placed after the webhook is active. Past orders need to be sent manually from your BookFunnel dashboard.

How do I disconnect BookFunnel?​

Disconnect from the BookFunnel side. Once BookFunnel removes the webhook, the Apps > BookFunnel page in your Fourthwall dashboard returns to the Connect to BookFunnel state.
