Preview and publish site changes

Preview your changes, then click Save to go live

Changes you make in Site design are not live right away. You can preview your work before making it visible to supporters. When you're ready, click Save to publish your changes. You can also share a preview link with a team member or collaborator to get feedback before going live.

Preview your changes​

When you edit anything in Site design, click Preview to see exactly how your site will look to supporters.

The preview opens your site with your current edits applied. Nothing is live yet.

To share your draft with a team member or get outside feedback, click the share icon next to the Preview button.

This copies a preview link to your clipboard. Anyone with the link can view your unpublished changes without needing a Fourthwall account. The link shows your current edits, not the live version of your site.

Save your changes​

When you're happy with how everything looks, click Save to make your changes live.

You can also save directly from the preview screen without returning to the editor first.

Once saved, your changes are visible to all supporters immediately.

Discard unsaved changes​

If you want to undo changes you haven't saved yet, click Discard. This removes all unsaved edits and reverts the editor to the last saved version of your site.

Important: Discard only removes changes you haven't saved yet. To undo changes that are already live, make new edits and click Save again.

Frequently asked questions​

Why aren't my site changes showing up for supporters?​

Your changes may not be saved yet. In the site designer, click Save to make your changes live. If you already clicked Save and changes still aren't appearing, try clearing your browser cache or waiting a few minutes for the update to propagate.

What is the difference between Save and the Live/Coming Soon toggle?​

The Save button in the site designer publishes your design changes (layout, colors, fonts, sections) to your live site. The Live/Coming Soon toggle in your shop settings controls whether your entire shop is visible to supporters. You can save design changes at any time, but supporters only see them when your shop status is set to Live.

What happens if I close the editor without saving?​

Any unsaved changes are lost. The editor reverts to the last saved state. Click Save before closing if you want to keep your work and make it live.

Yes. The preview link is shareable and accessible to anyone who has it. It shows your current unpublished edits at the time the link is opened.
