Update your shop theme

Update or manage your site theme

Your website’s theme sets the tone for your brand, and Fourthwall makes it easy to customize your design. Whether you’re launching your site for the first time or refreshing your store, switching to a new theme template can instantly give your site a fresh, modern feel.

This guide walks you through selecting, switching, and managing themes.

Select a new theme template

  1. In your Fourthwall dashboard, go to Site design > Theme.

  2. Click the + (Add new theme) icon to add a new theme.

  1. Browse the theme template catalog. Here, you can:
  • Preview different theme templates
  • See how each theme looks on desktop and mobile
  • Try out various color patterns
  1. Once you find a theme you like, click Add this theme to apply it.

You can customize your new theme right away to match your branding.

Select an existing theme template

If you’ve previously added or customized theme templates, they’re saved in your Theme options.

  1. Go to the Themes page in the Site designer.

  2. Review your saved theme templates, found under "Inactive themes."

  1. To activate the theme, click the three-dot icon > Set as active theme.

Manage your themes

note

Only the active theme can be edited. If you'd like to edit without visitors seeing changes, set your site to Coming Soon mode while working (editing inactive themes is on our product roadmap).

From the three-dot menu of any theme, you can:

  • Edit – Customize your active theme
  • Set as Active Theme – Switch your live site to another theme
  • Duplicate – Make a copy before experimenting with changes
  • Rename – Update the theme’s name for clarity
  • Reset to default – Restore original settings
  • Delete – Remove the theme from your library
